My Background
I spent over 12 years as a teacher before finding my way into web design, and I think a lot of what I loved about teaching has naturally carried over into this work. I love connecting with people, hearing their ideas, and helping take something that feels a little overwhelming and turning it into something clear, beautiful, and exciting.
I have a Bachelor of Education from the University of Victoria and a post-degree certificate in Special Education from Queen's University. Since moving into design, I've continued my education with web and graphic design courses through BCIT, along with mentorship and training from some incredibly talented web designers. I'm always learning, experimenting, and finding new ways to make the websites I create even better.
My design style tends to be clean, thoughtful, and intentional, with a lot of inspiration coming from living here on Vancouver Island. More than anything, I want every website I create to feel like the person and business behind it, not like something pulled from a template.
Outside of work, life is pretty full with my husband, our two young kids, and our rescue dog, Charlie. We spend as much time as we can outside, exploring the Island and enjoying the beautiful place we're lucky enough to call home.
